Hello all,
So up until recently, I've been using a couple of different "Normally Open" probes (touch plate and an electronic probe), but I wanted to add a Normally Closed tool setter. Since Mach3 only has one dedicated probe input, I decided to write a simple brain with an OR input, terminated to the probe switch.
I can now use both a NO and NC probe, but the input response seems noticeably slower. If I probe using my touch plate, the endmill will actually push into my plate and dent it before the input registers to stop the Z axis movement.
I don't have this problem when probing using only the probe input, so I'm assuming that the brain refresh rate is just too slow.
Am I missing something? Is there a way to speed this up?
Yes, I'm aware mach4 has solved this issue, but I'm already pretty invested in Mach3 and would like to make it work if possible.
Thanks!
