Why does Mach4 think I have 8 motors?
« on: January 14, 2024, 12:03:19 AM »
I have a 4 axis CNC configuration and set the configuration up for 4 Motors. However, I noticed that Mach4 assumes I have 8 motors. I hit the jogging(continuous) button and noticed that Mach4 generates log entries for my 4 motors (0-3) plus another 4 (4-7). Motors 4 to 7 are defined in the configuration but are disabled and I do not see any way of removing them and stopping their inclusion in the log. Is this standard practice for Mach4? Can I remove them from the Machine.ini file to minimize the entries? Apart from the fact that I only have 4 motors, the nonexistent motors fill the log with a lot of entries that are not applicable.
