I brought this question up in third party hardware/ software, but had no response.
I want to use the IMservice TP100 to probe on a series 1 Bridgeport running with Bob Campbell's Mach 3 box. He suggested I use the A axis limit to run the probe through port 1 pin 15 and disable the A, but I would like to use the A axis for some of the copying I hope to do.
I have seen the tutorial for using the TP 100 for tool height, but it does not reference the connection to the breakout board which in my case is the Sound Logic PC-2.
I am able to run the digitizing wizard and the machine cycles through, but manual activation of the probe does not interrupt it.
I'm concerned about the 12 volt supply for the proximity sensor limits going through the probe so does it make sense to just use the signal and grnd terminals and set it to be active high in ports and pins? Then in diagnostics the probe LED should light with a manual displacement of the tip. Does it sound like I am on the right track?
