new z axis motor choice

(1/1)

finyuk2005:
Hi there
Currently doing a cnc plasma table upgrade/ retrofit with a csmios IP/A as the old motors are all servos,
Got X and Y working really well, but i am needing to replace the old standalone torch hight/z axis controller, it also was the driver for the z axis dc servo motor,
So im either needing to find a new servo driver for that motor, that accepts +-10v signal from the IP/A, or replace the dc servo with something else, with a driver that accepts +-10v,
Does that rule steppers out? so something more like AC servos?

Any suggestions would be welcomed!!

Also needing suggestions for a decent torch hight controller, I was thinking about the proma THC150,
any other suggestions?

cheers!
