Pokeys57CNC connection to G320 driver
« on: April 01, 2024, 08:15:10 PM »
Hi. I see a discussion about Geckodrive error/reset terminal dated August 10, 2017.
I have the schematic which I can build but am unclear about part of it. Electronics is a subject I am weak in and this may seem a dumb question, but the 5v circuit supply I see on the left is clear but the second 5v shown at the right end, I am not sure of.
Is it the negative side of the same 5v supply? If not then where is 0v connected?
I am only a tool maker so any help with clarity would be appreciated. This probably works with older G340s also.
Thanks

That wiring will not work.  The encoder and and ERR/RES signals are common with the mains, it will damage the PoKeys57CNC.  This wiring is very dangerous.

We offer a way of connecting those:
