recently I have not been able to connect to the FTP site,   ftp://anonymous:guest@ftp.machsupport.com/
Using FileZilla this is what I get,  it appears to require a password for an anonymous connection,
I have connected many times in the past. last successful connection was 10/7/21

Status:   Connection established, waiting for welcome message...
Status:   Initializing TLS...
Status:   Verifying certificate...
Status:   TLS connection established.

Response:   331 Password required for anonymous

Response:   530 Login incorrect.
Error:   Critical error: Could not connect to server

any help would be appreciated

Not sure that access method is still supported. Try using HTTP:

https://www.machsupport.com/ftp/
