Hello everyone,
I have converted my mini lathe MX-210V to cnc lathe, but now i want to cut threads.
Can i use the sensor which comes with the lathe for reading the rpms or must be different sensor.
I'm using RNR Motion Card
Thanks!

As long as you get a clean pulse into the board and the board can do index threading you are good, optical switches are better.

How many pulses per rev does it generate? M3 needs just 1 ppr. Opto are good, Hall Effect also good, many addon tachos use Hall sensors.
