Mach3 Split motion during g-codes
« on: March 04, 2021, 09:33:19 AM »
Hi,

I would really appreciate some help with split motion on my milling machine.

I've read many post and tried lots of different options and I still have the problem.

So, if I hold the down arrow the feed is smooth for approx. 5-10 s then the feed stops for approx. 1 s (I still hold the down arrow) and after 1 s the movement continues.
If I use an virtual MPG then the motion is smooth.
If I push the RefAllHome button then the motion is smooth (this I find odd).

If i say to cammander for exaple : G01X-50, G00Y50 the movement is divided into several parts and is not smooth. I tried to reduce velocity and axceleration but unchanged. If i put g-code in mach3 the motion is divided into several parts just like in previous case.

Also if I type:
G64
G0X10  (in mm)
then then the motion is splited.

I've tried all the combinations of CV and FullStop modes with no difference. Not that I would expect any difference with a simple one command of G0X10.

I use Mach3, Win XP, DB25 parraler board, Nema34 12N.m and DQ860MA drivers

Thank you for all the advice
