buying hardware for mach 4
« on: December 11, 2020, 03:48:46 PM »
I just bought a bridgeport series 1 C2R3 CNC mill from an auction. I have to buy everything not heavy steel for this machine. I'm looking for recomendations for the breakout board, and motor drivers that work the best with mach 4. Im going to be running windows 10 64 bit
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased all my hardware through CNC4PC.  I designed and built table as well as control system.  I used Nema 34 hybrids, ESS smooth stepper tied to their C62 breakout board.  (They may now have a newer model)  What i liked about this approach was that most all connections to components can be made via ethernet cabling which makes the final system clean.  I am new to this forum.  You can write to Craig at yachtlover@rockisland.com if you want more info.
