Inkscape and the AxiDraw Plugin
« on: January 25, 2021, 08:38:39 PM »
Hi guys/gals, i'm looking to get all the software i need for my new adventure. I've got the machine up and running(ish), still need to add the limit switches program the home features and set the table overall.

The question is, i've looked and looked for the "AxiDraw_256 Plugin" and can't find it, the same for "Dragon Gcode".
I was watching a vid on how to create Gcode from a normal pic and those were the requirements. (Inkscape 0.92.4 -- AxiDraw_256 Plugin  --  & Dragon Gcode)

If there is a better way than the one i have found please let me know.
I'm glad to see there is a place to get this info and thanks for the dedication of all the people in this community that offer help to all the NooB's

Hi Mark,

Welcome to the forum.

I think AxiDraw_256 software relates to a CNC product not designed to be used with Mach3.

CAD/CAM software, such as Vectric Aspire or similar, will enable a .dxf image to be outlined and Gcode created from that outline but before you start spending cash check out the free software such as F-Engrave and other ScorchWorks products. https://www.scorchworks.com/Blog/category/cnc/
