Hi,
if you wish to continue with a parallel port then you MUST use 32 bit Windows 7 or earlier. XP Pro would be fine if it 32 bit?
Machs parallel port will not operate with ANY 64 bit OS.

If you wish to use a 64 bit OS, or Windows 10 (which works perfectly well by the way), or a laptop the you need an external motion
controller like an Ethernet SmoothStepper or a UC300.

Hi,

its simple:

Parallel port = Windows 7 or XP, must be 32 bit

External Motion controller = Any Windows OS, either 32 bit or 64 bit, and Laptops
