Lazycam installation fault?
« on: September 07, 2023, 01:24:58 PM »
Dear all, newbie here so apologies if I'm posting in the wrong place or if this has already been dealt with. I HAVE searched, but can't quite find my error...

I have two copies of Mach3/Lazycam: the original (unlicenced) is on my main design laptop and the other (licenced) is on my plasma machine.

If I import a dxf into lazycam on my plasma machine, it produces code which suffers from 'bad character' errors and does not run. The first bad character error comes from the line that attempts to turn the torch on: N30 {Spindle} (PLasma on).

My guess is that {*********xx} is a macro or some such, which is not defined and hence the bad character error.

The unlicensed copy produces code that runs fine and is quite different but both are generated by lazycam from the same dxf.

Does anyone recognise this please and what can I do to fix it?

Many thanks!
