Router running off the table immediately after starting a cut?
« on: January 22, 2020, 06:19:26 PM »
Unfortunately I have been sorting through some pc issues that disrupted mach 4. I have seemingly taken care of them, reinstalled mach 4.

Strangely none of the keyboard jogging worked but I mapped them in with no issues. All seems normal except when I start a cut the router flies off and trips limits.

I recall having this happen before. Also in the current positions indicator something seems off. In mach it says I moved the tool 4 mm but in reality it has moved half way across the table. This may be the problem here?

Hi,
you have set the native units to mm's not inches?

I did switch it over to metric after downloading it/ reconfiguring. Maybe I missed something. When I go to configure,  control, the machine setup units are metric, and units mode is metric. What is this "native units" you speak of?

Thanks in advance Craig, you have helped me a ton in the past!

Hi,
you have answered the question, if you have set the default and tuning units to metric then I would call your machine 'native metric'.
