Mach4 + Plasma MACRO ALARM Help
« on: January 17, 2020, 03:46:55 AM »
Hello,

Since yesterday I have had the following problem with my Mach4 and Plasma. The machine moves to the starting point of the new cutting contour. The plasma torch then ignites. The machine now moves in normal white, but it stops and this error message appears after 4 seconds.

Best regards Alex

Well... when you don't give a lot of information, people tend to stay silent.  What Mach build are you running and with what motion controller?  Did you build the machine?  What kind of motors and how are they hooked up?  What did you do between when it was working to now?  Etc...  Update something?

Hello Steve,

here is some more information.

Mach4 installs December 2019

Pokeys57cnc

Nema 23

Leadshine digital 556

The machine is completely self-made and worked right from the start.

Then after 2 weeks this error occurred.

To be able to cut further, I have to close Mach4 and Pokeys and switch off the power.

Then after the restart, it runs fine again for a while until the error occurs again.

If I don't do this, the error message always comes back immediately.

I suspected Mach4 was taking too many steps per mm and might be overloaded, so I reduced the steps ten times. But that didn't help either.

However, I believe that it has something to do with the fact that Mach4 or Pokeys may not come after it.

Thank you very much
