Will Mach4 work on This CNC Router?
« on: July 11, 2019, 10:39:56 PM »
please see the 3 attached photos of my 6040 CNC from ebay/China

1) the rear of the VFD has a parallel printer port (NOT USB)
2) the UC100 motion controller converts that printer port to USB
3) that UC100 will plug into my laptop with the Sixty Four (64) bit version of Windows 10

Would I need to buy or get other plugins or any other hardware or software to get Mach4 to work properly?
or what else would i need to do to get Mach4 to work?
I have not bought Mach4 yet...I wanted to see if you'd help me determine if it will work before I buy Mach4.
this 6040 CNC router is my first ever CNC.
So i'm a little intimidated right now by not knowing what I need to do next?
I just assembled it and so I haven't fired it up yet since I don't know if I should buy mach4 or UCCNC or mach3 or what?

thanks
Eddie

Yes.  The important part is the UC100 is compatible with Mach4.  Get the UC100 plugin for Mach 4 here: http://cncdrive.com/UC100.html
