New Mach Video ( Your help needed)
« on: March 26, 2006, 08:02:18 PM »
Recently I saw a link to this video http://www.centroidcnc.com/cncvideo/video_do_more.html
I think you will find it quite impressive. Right click on the video and select full screen option for better viewing.

While it is pretty impressive, I can guess that it comes at a very high price.

It got me thinking. Mach can do much of what this can do, and over time may even catch up to it.
In the mean time I would like to compile a general video of what Mach can do now.
The problem is I only have a CNC router to film.
I need video footage of all sorts of machines, using the many features that Mach has.
If you have video footage of your machine, and are prepared to let us use it, I will compile a concentrated video of all the best bits from every ones video. This will then be avaiable on the artsoft web site as a promotional video.

Please email your video to me at shoot.the.cat (at) gmail.com
Please send the video as MPEG or AVI ( Definately dont send me MOV files)
Please limit it to 10 meg maximum.
Try not to have any voice in it, machine sounds are ok as I can mix voice comentry into that.
I would prefere 30 seconds of a movie than 5 minutes of the same thing.
If possible video capture of Mach and the machine in the same frames would be good, but not essential.

Thanks in advance for your help, I am sure the result will be terrific.

Regards Benny

Thanks to those who have sent some video footage of thier machine using
Mach.
I now have a good example of the Z axis zeroing off a touch plate and
reseting the DRO, and a 5 axis machine doing some air cuts.
If you have any footage of other examples I could use it would be really
appreciated.

Please email it to shoot.the.cat (at) gmail.com.
Remember MPEG or AVI and no more than 10meg per email.

Thanks again,

Benny
