Paralell Port Setting
(1/1)
MachineMan66:
Where in Win7 do I find the 0x???? to input in the Ports and Pins settings. I have a pci add on card, it shows it in Device Manager, but dont see any number that looks like that.
DMBGO:
0x is the start of the LPT port address that you add on card supports. Examples are as follows:
Address Notes:
3BCh - 3BFh Used for Parallel Ports which were incorporated on to Video Cards - Doesn't support ECP addresses
378h - 37Fh Usual Address For LPT 1
278h - 27Fh Usual Address For LPT 2
Click on the menu item "Config" then "ports and pins" You will see dialogue boxes for the port addresses, such as 0x378" for port #1. You need to set these to match you card.

Look at the Properties for your PCI Card in Device Manager. Under Resources use the first address shown for I/O Range (ie. 0378) Mach will automatically add the 0x.
