Licensing question
« on: October 09, 2018, 06:09:13 PM »
Good Morning

I bought a small desktop CNC router that came with a cracked copy of Mach3.  This copy was modified from the original to specifically operate the machine.  I want to buy a license for it so I'll be legal.  Will the license overwrite the cracked one and give me all the features I need?  This will save me a lot of time resetting parameters and such from a fresh download.

Thanks!

Rob

Why not just buy a legal copy and then ask advice? screen shot all confg options then you have the data for your legal copy of Mach3? and a reason to ask for help!

If Mach3 itself is cracked, then it may not work with a legit license.
Best to download the current version for use with the new license.

ger21,

My bad, the Mach3 isn't cracked, it just has a license that they distribute to everyone they sell machines to.  The program itself has been modified to run that particular machine.

Rob,

If your version of Mach3 is a lot older than 3.043.022, it is likely cracked. Those versions are not supported--and neither are licenses that are not valid. A valid license is one that comes from machsupport.com directly or one of the authorized resellers listed on our Partners page. If the license is in someone else's name, it is not valid.

You Mach3 is depending on the XML or setup file to run. You can also Save screen shots of the setup screens and use them to help setup a New paid for not pirated version. My guess that is what you have.
