Motor tuning moving 2 axis's
« on: May 21, 2018, 06:41:39 PM »
I am in the process of converting a Lagun Mill to Mach3. I have installed DMM Dyn4 servos and drives controlled by a UC400ETH controller coupled to a SainSmart 5 axis breakout board.
Everything seems to work fine when I am jogging the axis's using either the keyboard or the pendant.
However, when I go into motor tuning, the Y axis sets fine, the X axis has different results each time and when I try to set the Z axis and tell it to move, the Y axis will move several steps just as the Z begins its initial move. This movement is not just a mechanical shift due to play, it is obviously being powered for second when it should not be.
Not sure if the issue is with Mach3, the controller or the breakout board.
Any ideas would be appreciated.
