Mach 4 with ess surging issue
« on: April 25, 2018, 11:18:41 AM »
I have an issue with Mach 4 which I am unable to resolve.   It runs fine through about 750 lines of g-code and then starts to surge.  I have a link to a youtube video and its around the 25 second mark.   https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VVcAZpRVGns.   [img]http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a167/S76911Driver/1pocket.jpg/img]  Here is where the gcode starts this issue.http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a167/S76911Driver/1pocket.jpg.    I am using windows 10.  I'll provide more info if anyone can help.

Ok this is driving me nuts.  I have narrowed down this problem to one line in the g-code which is line 758.  right when it gets there the machine starts its surging every time.  I do not see any errors in the g-code or am I missing something?http://i11.photobucket.com/albums/a167/S76911Driver/IMG-0006.jpg

we are very sorry, that our Magic glas ball can not see the line 758 of your code.
anything is possible, just try to do it.
if you find some mistakes, in my bad bavarian english, they are yours.

Your image of the G-code on screen starts at line 767, so line 758 is not visible.

It would be much better to post a link to the actual G-code so others could
try running it.

Solved,  g-code was fine but apparently the computer was just running out of RAM.  New computer, new install of M4 and ESS and now runs like a top. ;D
