57U, Mach 3 - A Axis, How?
« on: February 10, 2018, 11:14:00 AM »
Hi,

The 57U shows connections for X Y and Z channels. I use X and Z for the lathe, the spare channel is Y. Is there a way to tell Pokeys / Mach 3 that this is A instead for a lathe turret?

Thanks

Unfortunately, the Mach3 plugin for PoKeys does not support axis remapping.
The best way is to use the external pulse generator (e.g. https://www.poscope.com/product/poextbusoc16cnc/), which features the support for all 6 axes (at 125 kHz instead of 25 kHz of built-in).

Just looked at the board and the manual. How does it connect to the 57U?

See page 5 of the manual.

Power supply and 4 signal pins must be connected as stated in the table.
