UC100 Question
« on: October 17, 2017, 12:43:41 PM »
Hello All, I'm using a UC100 on a older laptop everything is working fine until I try and hook up an external monitor. The uc100 stops communicating as soon as its plugged to the port. I don't know if there is a conflict because the uc100 is emulating com 1 and if it can be changed in Mach 3? Any help would be appreciated.

Hi,
I'm sorry I can't help, I don't know the UC100 well enuf but CNCdrive support their products well. Either Tech support or forum.

The UC100 is not "emulating" any ports. There's either some type of conflict, or the monitor is creating noise that is affecting the connection.
I'd try some ferrite beads on the USB cable, and/or a better cable.
Or, a different USB port.

Thanks for the feedback. I contacted CNC Drive and am waiting to hear back from them. I'd hoped it was a common problem that had a easy solution.
