Fast89, I was hoping to find something obvious there and didn't.  This is a puzzling problem.

Well, figured it out, finally. It was an issue with either windows 7 or sata ssd. I wiped the hard drive and installed XP in ide mode and it is fine now. I don't think this had anything to do with mach3. Got everything back to running condition so tomorrow hopefully it will make its first good part.
