Syil X2 cnc controller question
« on: June 18, 2007, 03:47:15 PM »
Greetings from Greece.

Hi there. I have converted my SIEG X2 mill to cnc using Syil's coontroller box, running licenced Mach3 v2xx65.
I made my own metric.xml and everything run beatifull, untill today when I always get the error message:

"Your Reset command is failing due to an external influence. Either your Reset button is on, or your Limits switches are active. This can be corrected by..."

I am sure that nothing is on, I even have disconnected all inputs from the parallel break out box. Parallel port cable is the same as before, have tried in different pcs but I still cannot communicate via the lpt1 port.

Any ideas?

Thanks man for the info.

Unfortunately just measured 48V DC on the power supply output wires that goes in the breakout board.

I assume that the voltage regulator LM7805 must have failed, it gets really hot and it does not have any heat sink ???

Do not know how to test it though...
