I'm unable to get any motion from the Longs Motors version of a Chinese CNC kit consisting of 3 NEMA 23 motors, 36v power supply, 1 DB25-1205 BOB, 3 DM542A drivers, 1 parallel cable. There's precious little info on the internet other than YouTube and not much of that. Any suggestions will be appreciated. If unable to get a resolution, I'll go Gecko as I did on my last build which went beautifully.
Mach3
native units: inch
port setting: 1
motor outputs (x axis only):
enabled (green check mark)
step pin 3
dir pin 2 (tried reversing step and dir)
dir lowactive (red x)
step lowactive (red x)
(tried selection of green ck mark for both)
input signals:
estop: port 1, pin 15, green ck, red x, 0 (hotkey)
motor tuning: used default settings and lots of others
DRO in Mach3 responds but motor does not. Anytime I change directions with the left arrow key, the motor clicks one time (one step I suppose)
Two YouTube channels using slightly different hookups are able to get motion. One channel is Franco, the other is Joe POPS.
This link shows my condensed version of both.
