Speed rate moving across gantry
« on: March 12, 2022, 02:40:38 PM »
Hi all I'm looking to figure out how to Increase the speed on which the gantry moves across the workpiece. Machine is cutting fine but is taking too long to finish 8x4 sheet. I'm new to mach3 having used ncstudio for years. I've noticed there's a speed setting on The home config page but I don't want to Increase that as it would slam into the home positions when zeroing.

Any help appreciated, thanks all

Cut speed should be set in the g code command using the f parameter.   The configuration motor tuning speed is for rapids, ie the G0 speed.  In the homing/limits configuration screen you can select the homing speed as a %ge of the rapid speed iirc.
