ESS & C25 Wiring help for home switches
« on: September 09, 2016, 11:02:44 PM »
I'm hoping someone can walk me through the wiring for my mechanical home switches for my 3 axis router.

My router came with the three switches wired Normally Closed and connected to inputs 10, 11, 12 on the C25 and a common Ground on the C25.  I could not get a reliable connection in Mach4 for all three switches with this wiring scheme.

Reading the manual for the C25 seemed to suggest that each switch should be wired from a 5V terminal on the C25 to its input terminal (10, 11, 12.)  I tried this with a common 5V connection to all three switches but I'm still not seeing the correct behaviour in Mach4.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Ah now I'm finding that the problem seems to be one of the switches itself, or its connecting wires.

Yup it was a faulty switch.
