Help with older Techno Isel
« on: March 15, 2006, 05:39:38 PM »
I just acquired a Techno Isel gantry with steppers (HX33SBM201201505).It has the MAC200SD controller with the SD15 cards. I wish to use the MACH2CNC program, in order to update to standard G code. What do I need to do this? Do I need to dump the MAC200SD controller and if so,what does the forum recommend as a substitute? If I can use the MAC200SD, can someone fill me in on the settings to use. I have Mastercam version 6 for a cam package. Thanks for any help.

Are you looking to wire up the stepper drives and build the control? Or are you looking for something that you can plug the computer and motors into?
Building the control is the least expensive...

If that is the easiest, thats the way I would like to go. I should be able to keep the machine itself intact motor wise and just plug into  a new controller, correct? I would like to purchase a plug and play controller. Any suggestions on what and where to purcase one?
Thanks so much
Shawn
