Two Steppers on Y axis

Hi there, I'm in the process of re-building my 3 axis cnc router, I want to attach a stepper motor to each ball screw on the Y axis has anyone done this and how would one go about wiring the stepper drivers.. will I need two drivers or one is enough?

The recommended method is to have two drivers (one for each motor). One will be the Y axis and the other will be the A, B, or C axis (you can choose) and these two axes are slaved together within Mach3 setup.
