Blimey! That IS a new one on me!
Oh well ... onwards. Much pride in solving the problem.
Cheers
Roger

Me too - never had a problem with the UC100 apart from at one point it didn't support G04 in ms - so when you added the line "G04 1000" the UC1000 translated it as 1000 seconds! I did contact the manufacturer on that occassion and they sorted it out (I think, as I started not using MS). But they knew about it and put me on the right path, so if something can be done with the UC100 I am sure they will sort it.

That is IS that is the problem of course - but for me removing the UC100 fixes it immediately.

thanks again

It sticks in my mind that the mS option in Mach3 does not work. I can specify 0.25 and get just that, in seconds.
How that interacts with UC100, I do not know.

Hmm......
Just another thread without all available info for looking into a problem.

Glad you found the culprit.

Hi Rich

True, not enough info at the start. But consider the poor novice who doesn't even KNOW what info is needed.
(I am sure I was like that at the start too.)

Well even if 100% of the info wasn't provided it helped me get to the bottom of the problem AND understand the system a bit more. Isn't that what forums are all about? It sure helped me - especially the threading diagnostics.

thanks to all.

Me too... ;)

Got in a truck wreck yesterday and it's totaled, lighting stuck the outhouse during the storm
and no where to go, wife asked for a divorce, workplace closed thus got layed off,
have no money, all my friends are no where to be found, the dogs have diahrea and are running all over the house.

No problem, other than if forgetting to ask about or say there is an external motion controller,
and that is a problem, than your crazier than me! :D ;D

Update - the team from cncdrive (people who make the UC100) have contacted me and are running tests on a lathe test bench system.

I knew they would - these people are very good with support of their customers
