Homing/limit switches
« on: May 10, 2016, 02:54:07 PM »
Hello,
A few weeks ago I turned on my machine hit Ref. home z went up and did not stop. No signal to switches X,Y or Z.
I could still jog all the Axis and also run the machine just could not Ref. Home.
I thought it might be the motion card I have leafboy77 in my machine.
I bought a new board ( mach3 motion card) but had not installed it yet.
Yesterday I turned on the machine hit Ref. Home Z got a signal and so did Y but not X.
Went to home depot came home hit Ref. Home and wow all three switches got a signal.
Thought all was good.
Turned on the machine this morning and no signal on any of the switches.
Is my problem Mach3 or is it the motion card?
Thank you,
Philip

When you are having problems with the switches, maybe try and test them with a volt meter to help narrow down where the issue is.
It kind of sounds like there is a loose connection somewhere.
Posting how you have things wired might helps others trouble shoot with you.

Thank you for responding!!!
I have tested the all connection with the meter many times
and checked for lose wires twice as much.
I think it may be Mach3.
normally in feed rate it should be 100 its 6.00
the Normal condition button is yellow in the past I would hit it
and it would turn green now when I hit it  a little box window
comes up and says
Warning: This will reset your monitoring to consider current conditions
as normal.
