« on: April 19, 2016, 01:16:45 PM »
Not sure whats going on with my CNC.
when setting up motor tuning i have the motors running grate, when jogging it jogs grate.
when i run a program the G01 is fine i can control the feed rate fine. But G00 no madder
what i do the motors loss steps sound like the motors are over accelerating I've tried changing
setting in motor tuning 100 time. at this point i'm lost

Please help.

What settings have you currently got?
What size machine is this?
Any pictures?

Motor tuning is pretty simple to get close to good but need some more info i think.

Did you try jogging at 100% speed? That would be the same as a G00. Sounds like you have the velocity set too high.

i have changed the velocity form low and high and back to low and ever where in between.
I believe i'm jogging at 100%

I am guessing this is inches per minute?

So for 200IPM velocity in motor tuning try putting 20 in acceleration and see what happens

Is this a mill? Plasma? Heavy gantry? Light gantry?

Ok, try those figures and see what you get ;)

Also what motors, what supply voltage?
