help setting the feed rate

hello my name is sean drury i live in copake ny i have a bridgeport with the mach 3 program im trying to carve 304 stainless i want to change the feed rate but it only goes down to 30.00 how do i lower it what also would be the ideal feed rate and spindle rpm the chips i have been getting are probably around a 1/16 and i need them to be around 1/32

There basic general info about feedrate, material being machined, and cutter size in Member Doc's. That info was Cleveland.
Some of the tool  manufactures sites have calculators.

Hi Sean,
you might try HSMAdviser (HSMAdviser.com), it has a great speeds and feeds calculator for all manner of materials and tools.
It also provides estimates of power/torque required, cutting force and tool deflection, all have proved useful as I flounder may way
thru. It has some useful little widgets for threading and some trigonometric calculators if coding manually or on the fly.
Free trial for a month or so but I liked it so much that I bought it....and getting me to part with cash is a mean feat!
