Feed Hold problem
« on: March 17, 2009, 02:24:49 PM »
I recently installed Mach3 with the Candcnc breakout board to an old Dyna 2800 mill. Using the Sherline mode, it seems to run fine with the original Dyna steppers and drivers (much to my amazement, I might add!).

The only thing that isn't working (so far!) is the Feed Hold button. When I hit the button on the screen during program execution, I get the "Note: Cycle pause in effect.. No jogging or Reverse!!" message in the status box, but the program continues to run normally.

The "Stop" buttons works perfectly.

Is there something I could have overlooked in the set up that would cause this?

Thanks,

ventuseu

Yeah, I should have thought of that...

Version 3.042.020  (This is the version supplied with the Candcnc hardware)...

Hi, Ventuseu

Should have asked you to post one of your G-code files with the problem or dose it happen with any G-code you run.

Ver. 3.042.020 seems to run hear fine, But I "don't" get the "Note: Cycle pause in effect.. No jogging or Reverse!!" message in the status box that you getting.

May be something in your version supplied by Candcnc.

Yeah, I've tried it with several files and I get the same result...

Thanks for checking this out. I'll forward the question to Tom at Candcnc and see what he thinks...

Thanks for the quick response.

Cheers,

Sorry to pull up an old thread but were you able to get this resolved?  I'm having the same issue and have confirmed it's not the G-code.
