mc,
What version of Mach has the bug that you replied about?
What version are you currently using?

I'm currently running .057 on the lathe, which was on Hood's recommendation for being the latest most bug free lathe version.

Only reason Mach ended up on the lathe, was at the time I retrofitted it, KMotionCNC didn't have good lathe tool offset support (it only had Z-axis offsets in the tool table for milling), however that's since changed and the only thing holding me back is lack of time to convert everything.

Thanks for the replies!
I was wondering: what are the improvements between versions .057 and .066?
I understand there are issues that I would gladly avoid but am I risking to loose new features when going back to .062?

I don't think there is anything in 066 that is not in 062 with regards to Turn. Well except all the bugs that were introduced with 066 especially ones that affect Turn. One of which is the wear limits are stuck in radius mode so you need to double if using Dia mode. There were quite a few other issues in 066, one was with external homing, another seemed to be with toolchanger macros.

I would never recommend anyone use 066 as it has serious issues, 062 seems fine for me and my machines.
057 worked fine as well but in Turn there was a problem with the toolpath at times, can't recall exactly what it was, it was an annoyance rather than dangerous though  but 062 seemed to cure it for me.

Sure would be a lot less work for yuse guys if "they" would just make 066 go away.  The one or 2 people that just have to have 066 for whatever obscure reason would take a lot less time to help than the hundreds of new users that you poor guys have to advise on the forum to revert back to 062.   It wears me out just reading all the posts where you & the other wonderful experts here repeatedly have to give that same advice.  Sheesh, just sayin'  Give yourselves a break! :)

The problem with that is there are some things that were fixed in V.066 but it also broke a few things. So the ones that NEED V.066 need it available.

It is the SAME with V.067

I don't think anyone at Artsoft is interested in doing anything Mach3 wise.

AND it has been posted a million times here so IF you don't know that V.066 CAN have problems nothing else will help you.
