THC IN A PLASMA TUBE MACHINE
« on: November 02, 2015, 07:01:38 PM »
Hi!! my name is Javier Im from Argentina. I build a plasma tube machine (for square and round pipe). So my question is: My idea its to install a Proma THC control, but whats happens when I cut square tubes?
Well, Mach3 drives X, Y, Z and A axis in my machine, so when I cut square tubes Mach drive Z axis in the corner of the rotations... If I install the Proma control.. maybe send a signal (up or down) when Mach is sending too a signal (when the square tube is rotating) ... I think thats is a problem?... I am wrong?

Maybe I wrote in a wrong discussion?
Sorry I' am new here.
Thanks very much for all. ;D

Regards from Argentina!
Javier

Hi Javier:
one of the machines in my department at work is a 6 axis laser, we use a cad/cam system to program it that generates g-code in x,y,z,a,b,c, axis. your machine would need the same sort of g-code, that is x,y,z,a axis if you only need rotation around the x axis. this type of program can be written line by line without a cad/cam sysytem but I sure would't do it. your try looking at http://www.freebyte.com/cad/cadcam.htm for software.

good luck
