Mach 3 ePID Fault
« on: February 08, 2023, 06:57:08 AM »
Hi,

I have an ePID fault on a Mach 3 system. (Milltronics retro fit 3 axis cnc mill)
It caused the Z axis to move and oscillate causing the drive belt to break (upon reaching mechanical limit)

The Mill was working fine but had to be moved so the power was off for several weeks. Picture attached, any help would be great, thank you. David

PID faults are caused by counting errors on the feedback. It could be a loose wire, a sticking axis, faulty power supply or 1 of many more problems.
