Cycle Start Button/Handheld, if your familiar with PROTOTrak

First Post:
So i am wondering what i would need to do in order to have a function similar to what prototrak does with the handheld button, you press it and it does a next move or cycle start. Would this be as simple as tying an input that when active high (momentary pushbutton) does a cycle start? i have a 2 axis bridgeport clone and would like to use that similar feature, so im not having to click the mouse everytime i need to drill a hole (drill hole, push button moves to next hole, drill etc.etc.) Thanks for any direction on this.

note that ProtoTRAK calls it a: Remote Stop/Go Switch
and while in action the operator can as you guessed stop (feed hold?) and go (cycle start?)
