There are ONLY global #vars in mach3. they go from 1 to about 32000.  A few are taken and the Vars 500-600 are persistant. they are saved on close.

Yes , I know(;-),  BUT that is the way it was done (;-)  I fought for that many years ago but did not win that battle.

Let Me check on teh Axis DROs here they go to the tenth 0.0001.

BY the way Ver.066 is not the best version to run. I would be using V.062.

I'll be back, (;-) TP

The axis DRO resolution MAY be effected by the Motor steps per unit values OR Demo mode .  IF it cannot generrate steps to equate to a .0001 move it may not display it.

Does Mach4 implement local variables?

My assumptions would be yes, since they implemented Macro Codes G65, G66 and G67 and it would be very poor programming practice to let a G65 call step on a global variable.

Also, if I download Mach4 for trial, can I simulate all operations like I can with this licenced Mach3 or are their limitations imposed?

There are MANY limits to the demo .  Ask Artsoft for the list.
