MDI intermittently stops working

Cant figure this out.
Mdi just stops working.

Restarting mach works sometimes. But not all ways.

Sometimes computer restart works but not all ways.

Any suggestions?

What version of Mach?
Are you using an external controller?
Does everything else work ok, things such as coolant, jogging etc?

If you attach your xml I will see if I can replicate the problem.

Using Mach 3 Version R3.043.062. with ess smooth stepper.

Everything else works very well.

Ok what are you entering in the MDI? Do things like M8 or M3 work ?
