Hi! Newbie here!

Hi and congratulations on your good work on the site!

I am new in CAM software. I have purchased an ebay 3 axis CNC milling machine.
I got the machine running under windows XP but I have the following program.

When I move X, Y and Z axis the numbers on MACH3 software don't match
the correspoding movement of the motor. What I mean is that when the motor is
moving to the right 10 mm, MACH3 software sees that it moved 4mm!! Could you tell me
how to fix this? Because any project will be useless if I don't adjust it properly.

Thank you very much in advance!

You need to correctly set the steps per unit in motor tuning. You can calculate them or can use the axis caibration feature
Settings(Alt 6 ) tab in lower left corner of the screen.
