How to copy setup files to a new computer
« on: January 18, 2015, 03:27:48 PM »
My old Vista box died, and I have a XP box now.
I installed the licensed version of Mach 3 to the new computer.
The parallel port test passes.
I coped the entire mach 3 directory over to the new computer, and I can reset to estop , but nothing happens.
I cannot jog, figuring that would be the safest way to check the install.

Is there a quick way to fix this?

Look at teh settings for teh LPT port I would bet that the new PC has a different LPT address for the port you are using.

JUst a thought, (;-) TP

I get random pulses to the motors, and I copied the .xml file over from the old box to the new one.
....slogging through the entire setup again, since I cannot find my notes from the first time.
