This definetly sounds a bit odd.

Could it be something else on the computer reverting the .xml to a previous version after a reboot?

To find out, before starting Mach, make a note of the last change date/time (right click, Properties, and last change date/time should be on the first tab).
Then do what you have to get mach working, and check the last change date/time to ensure it's been updated (stupid question, but you are selecting 'Save Settings..' after you make any changes?).
Finally reboot the computer, and see if the last change date/time is still the same as the working version, or if it's reverted to an earlier date/time.

What happens to the time after you reboot?

Assuming you mean the image that shows while mach is loading to the select profile dialogue, then no, it shouldn't change.
What version of windows are you running?

Mike,

The splash screen is selected at random from those available (you can even add your own) so on startup you could easily have different splash screens each time.

Hi Mike,

You have my sympathies, I managed to get in a similar situation a year or so back and know that you could easily spend many hours trying to find the problem. Generally when things go wacky it is a corrupt .xml but it could equally be somewhere else.

My best advice would be to copy your entire Mach3 folder to a backup folder (so it can be used for reference if necessary) then hardcopy all your Mach3 settings for your reference.
Uninstall Mach3 and delete any remainder Mach3 folders from your HD.
Perform a fresh install of your chosen Mach3 version and then enter all the settings from your hardcopy (do not copy and paste existing .xml’s or any other info – enter all the required settings manually).

I appreciate that this may take some time but, trust me, in the long run it is far quicker than chasing your tail trying to find the problem.

Tweakie.
PEACE
