Mach 3 CRASHING
« on: December 13, 2013, 06:26:37 PM »
I was 113570 lines and two hours into a cut and Mach3 crashed (again) and shut down. Sometimes the program will run for days without a problem, but not today. I have had Mach3 crash about four times before. There is a error message that wants to debug Mach3 then the program shuts down. The trouble with this is all of the X,Y,Z set points are moved and it is almost imposable to reset them so the project is not wasted, not counting the time and aggravation.  Has anyone else running into this problem?  >:( >:( >:( ???

Mach3 has crashed 4 more times. Each time I get an error code "Error found, Art Code 3336" & "Error Found, Art Code 9991" Never in the same line of the G-Code when I rerun. Are there any ideas of what I might check???????

If you're running a higher kernel speed, try reducing it.

Please elaborate: What is the "kernel speed"?

Go to Config > Ports and Pins and see what it's set at.

After reinstalling Mach3 hopping to resolve the "Crashing" and error problem. I ran 244230 lines of code and the error message came back as before. This window pops up, "Mach3 CNC Application has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available."
After restarting Mach3 and resetting all of the 'Machine Coordinates' and loading the code Mach3 only ran for about 5 minuets and stopped responding. I had to hard start the PC to get out of the program.
I am flat out of ideas as to what the problem is with Mach3 I have been using this diy CNC for over two years and this problem is something new. :'( :'( :'( ???

This sounds very much to me as though it is a Windows / PC problem rather than a Mach3 problem. Have you made any changes to your PC setup or added / enabled any new software / hardware etc. ?
