Homing Switch problem (triggers emergency)
« on: January 22, 2014, 07:54:25 PM »
I am new to CNC milling and bought at used Blacktoe CNC and am currently setting it up in my garage.
I'm currently having some trouble with some trouble with homing using my limit switches.
like most it seems i have my X-axis limit switches X++,X-- and X home all in one pin
and all of the Y-axi in one pin aswell.
I only have a z-zeroing plate I use to home my Z axis

Anyway anytime I try to reference my machine coordinates the Z works fine but the X axis -- limit switch triggers and emergency and does not back off the limit switch to zero properly, same with the Y-axis.
I just need for it not to trigger an emergency(the emergency light near all the limit light lights up when the --/home limit is it)

Any suggestions? I am at my wits end?

Perhaps you have assigned the same pin number to X and Y as the emergency stop?

Does the Green LED light up at the side of the X axis DRO when you home?

Yup... e-stop was set to the same pin, must be the software default to set it to that pin..
I am an idiot. Thanks for the help.

No, you are not!

We all make mistakes and that is the process of learning. Besides, in the cnc world learning never stops
