HELP zero machine coordinates
« on: November 30, 2013, 07:15:17 PM »
i am setting up my Mini mill using a g540 drive.
i disconnected my homing switches. how do I get machine coordinates zero to reset?
I searched read all day before posting this and i cannot figure it out.

I have my table set where I want it to be x0 y0 z0 but when i ref all home it goes past my switch trying to get to home, machine coordinates are not zeroed
.(standing at front of mill, table all the way to the right, all the way towards the front/operator, head all the way to top, if that is not correct please let me know also.)

Also do  you use metric or inches when putting in the distances in the homing screen?

You need to disable the switchs in Ports and Pins if you want it to zero when you press Ref All. Or, hook the switches back up,, and it will zero when it hits them.

Inches or mm's depends on what the native units are set to.

guess i don't have something hooked up right somewhere.
estop is done with a break in main power going to drive.

Home switch is going from power supply V- to limit switch yellow wire and hooked at a terminal block(didn't want a bare wire whil working on it) to red wire going to the 3 switches at mill
Black wire from switch connect to #2 slot on G540.

Still have jumper between 12 and 10 for estop.

Well something went wrong no power to drive and fuse on g540 appears to check good. no led on g540 drive with 48 v output from power supply.

No where to get a replacement fuse around here.
