Mach 3 problem help needed
« on: July 16, 2013, 03:16:27 PM »
Hi all I'm new here and could do with a little help
I recently purchased a small milling machine equipped with mach 3
I've been using the machine manually with no problems, however today I imported a dxf file from autocad, loaded the g code and when I run the program I have found
that the actual movement of the machine is greater than the movement shown on the DRO.
Mach 3 is not something i'm used to, could this be a simple problem or something more serious, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like the steps per unit are set incorrectly, either that or you have scaling set.
