Slaved Axis not moving during Ref All home command
« on: May 24, 2013, 04:22:39 PM »
The X axis on my CNC is driven by two lead screws and two steppers. The second stepper (A) is slaved to the first (X) stepper. Everything works fine for jogging and driving the X axis, both motors synced, except during the Ref All Home command. Only the X stepper moves, the A doesn't. What setting have I missed?

Thanks for the help!

If you do not have a home switch enabled for the a axis you will want to home slave with master.  That is a tick box in general config.  Also, on general config make sure you have set the a axis to be linear.

Perfect! Many thanks Brett. I knew it was a simple check of a box somewhere but there are so many settings, it's hard to keep them all straight.

Cheers
