Opto Disc

Hi, i am in the process of machining a slotted disc for the spindle for pwm signals for  my cnc lathe retrofit but am unclear if the latest versions of Mach 3 support multiple slots plus a wider index  slot. I have read that  you can now only use  one slot so can somebody who really knows please clarify this as i would prefer to use multiple slots for greater accuracy if possible.

Many thanks
Charlie

Single slot and multi slot was found not to be of advantage.

I use a Halls affect sensor instead of a slotted disc. Easier than trying to mount a slotted disc.
FWIW,

Also would suggest not to use the lockdown or Dev versions as they have issues, especially with Turn. I would suggest you go to the ftp site and download an earlier version. I use 057 but others seem to like 062.
