Spindle Calibration Function?
« on: January 31, 2007, 12:55:13 AM »
Hello All,

I have tried to use the spindle calibration function and haven't had any success.  After I run the calibration, I  test the spindle and can't get the correct spindle speed.  Is there any one out there who has successfully used this function.  Your input will be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Jose

How stable is the RPM reading that you are getting?

The spindle seems to fluctuate between + - 40 rpm.

Not sure if it will help but have you tried increasing the Index debounce setting? you will find it under Config Menu then General Config.

+- 40 is a big swing... you should hear that! I am with Hood, I think you are getting some false readings

Not sure what you have for a spindle sensor, but you might try what I did, here's the page http://www.machsupport.com/forum/index.php?topic=650.10
